The Batu Caves are situated a few kilometres north of Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia. A temple is situated within the cave area. Visitors to the Batu Caves will see many
wild macaque monkeys as they climb the
staircase into the mouth of the cave.
The caves are the focal point for the Thaipusam
festival which is celebrated each year by Malaysia's Hindu
community.
